WARWICK Gospel Choir may be singing with happiness this Saturday (March 25) when they find out if they have won a major national university award.
Warwick will be vying for the award alongside singing groups from seven other universities at The Gospel Choir of the Year.
The ceremony will take place at Oasis House in Croydon with doors opening at 6pm.
The Warwick Gospel Choir aims to build a diverse experience in singing, worshipping and praising God while creating an environment which allows members to mature vocally and spiritually.
Event day will see the choirs compete against each other, with a judging panel then deciding the overall winner based on theme, choreography, musicality, arrangement and harmony.
And in an added twist, this year’s competition will allow choirs to feature a special guest artist to perform as part of the final set.
The University Gospel Choir of the Year was founded in 2011 by Lorraine Wright MBE and aims to be a platform for choirs to develop and showcase their musical ability in a supportive way.
