WEST Coventry Academy welcomed prospective new students and their families for one of several open days on Saturday, September 24.
The school welcomed year six pupils who will be moving into secondary schools in September 2023, who were given tours of the premises.
The academy is currently undergoing a £38.4million complete rebuild with a brand new state-of-the-art sports hall that will serve the community.
Guests also listened to headteacher presentations, and met with staff, with the children getting to take part in some educational practical activities including Whizz Bang Experiments, WCA Clock Makers, The Wonder of Words and Take to the Stage.
Headteacher Ana Neofitou said: “We’re delighted at the record turnout for this year‘s open days.
“It was a pleasure to welcome our community through our doors so they could find out more about all that our fantastic school has to offer.
“It was wonderful to welcome so many future students and their families, and there was a real buzz around school”.
