RESIDENTS can win tickets to Coventry’s popular Godiva Festival which returns at the start of next month.

Go CV is celebrating reaching 60,000 cardholders by offering an exclusive chance to win one of ten family weekend tickets to this year’s Godiva Festival.

The festival takes place at the War Memorial Park from September 3 to 5 as part of the UK City of Culture celebrations, with Supergrass, Craig David presents TS5 and Sister Sledge as Main Stage headline acts, alongside many local Coventry performers across five stages.

The exclusive prize of a weekend family ticket would save up to £49 per family on advance prices.




The Go CV team is at Godiva Festival to support residents in signing up to the scheme and will be in the family field, where there will be a funfair, family friendly entertainment and interactive games on the Serendipity Stage and the Arena space.

Coun Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport, said: “It’s great to see so many people that live in Coventry signing up to Go CV so they can enjoy lots of attractions and have access to leisure facilities at reduced prices.

To take part in the competition, people need to have a validated Go CV account and enter through the online form on the website before midnight on Sunday, August 22.

All you need to know about the Godiva Festival

BRILLIANT performances, a circus arena and have a go at sports sessions for all the family will all feature as part of Coventry’s Godiva Festival which returns on September 5 and 6.

Other activities include enabling visitors the chance to get up close with birds of prey, a petting farm, funfair, two stages full of music, exhibitors in Greenspace and Life and Times and much more.

The new ‘Serendipity Stage’ boasts many ‘join in the fun’ acts, including local dance groups, the Bhangra Tots, Fun Science and comic performers, along with mass karaoke singing on Friday and Saturday evenings.

On the Sunday the Family Field will host a special appearance from beloved TV characters.

Community groups and organisations will demonstrate traditional skills such as fence making, basket weaving and thatching over Saturday and Sunday, while local groups, such as the scouts, theatre organisations, will also be present.

Godiva Festival has been organised by Coventry City Council, in association with Free Radio and Greatest Hits Radio and is supported by Coventry City of Culture Trust.
