A WOMAN has died following a house fire in Longford last night on Sydnall Road.
Crews from Foleshill and Coventry Fire Station were mobilised to reports of a house fire at 9.17pm on Thursday (March 24).
Crews arrived at the scene less than five minutes from the original 999 call and discovered a full developed fire within the first floor bedroom of an end terraced house.
Fire services located one female from the scene where CPR was carried out before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
Despite the emergency services best efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
