Woman dies in three-vehicle crash in Coventry

A WOMAN from Coventry has died after a crash involving a motorbike and two vehicles in the city.

It happened on A444 Jimmy Hill Way just before 10.50pm yesterday (Friday), when the 20-year-old was a passenger on a white Yamaha motorcycle.

The rider, a man aged 20, suffered a fractured pelvis.

No one else was injured in the collision which happened on the approach to the traffic Island at Bell Green Road and Stoney Stanton Road.

Sgt Mark Crozier, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation into how a young woman tragically lost her life.

“The young woman’s family are being supported by trained officers and our thoughts go out to them at this sad time.”

He urged witnesses to the collision or anyone with information or dash cam footage to submit the details via live chat at west-midlands.police.uk or by calling 101.
