FIVE people were injured – including one seriously – in a two-car crash on the M42 in which one of the vehicles overturned.
One of the women was seriously hurt and has been taken to hospital.
It happened around 1.50pm on the northbound carriageway near Junction 7.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene.
The seriously injured woman – a driver of one of the cars – received specialist trauma care at the scene before being taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A man, a woman and two children were all treated for injuries not believed to be serious before all being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire on the same ambulance.
