A WOMAN was left with a shattered jaw and needing reconstructive surgery after a ‘sickening’ attack at her Coventry home.

A manhunt has been launched to find Liberato – also known as Luca or Lib – Galiazia in connection with the crime.

The 21-year-old was attacked shortly before 5.30pm on December 19. The Wood End woman had to undergo emergency surgery to stabilise the two fractures with three plates and 12 screws.

Her injuries were so severe and the surgery so intrusive her wisdom teeth had to be removed to allow doctors to repair the damage.

Detectives have described the attack as ‘sickening’ and have launched a major investigation.

Det Sgt Joe Davenport said there had been an argument over the phone before the attacker turned up and floored the woman, ‘breaking her jaw in a sickening attack’.

Galiazia, aged 26, is originally from Naples in Italy and his last known address in the UK was in Bedworth, Warwickshire.

All police forces across the country have been alerted to his wanted status in attempt to trace him.

Anyone with any information should call police in 101 Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
