SCHOOL children from Coventry joined care home residents to see an interactive exhibition at the Transport Museum.
The ‘Move and Play!’ exhibition closes next month (November 10), after it was loaned to the museum by the Finnish Science Centre.
It gives visitors the chance to play classic arcade games in an interactive setting.
Pupils from Finham Park Primary School joined residents from Avalon Court Care Home to experience the exhibition together and encourage people of all ages to get involved.
The youngsters and residents took on nineteen immersive challenges including simulated tightrope walking, ‘Team Stomp’, and ‘How Accurately Can You Kick?’.
Ruark Jon-Stevens, marketing manager at Culture Coventry, the charity which runs Coventry Transport Museum, said: “It was particularly great to see primary school pupils and older visitors playing together, engaging in physical activity and working as a team utilising each other’s strengths to achieve great scores.
“Some visitors remembered activities from their days in school, others have never experienced anything like ‘Move & Play!’ before.
“We’ve had excellent feedback from visitors and are urging people to come along and make use of this fantastic experience before it closes early next month.”
