Your definitive guide to fireworks and bonfire night events across Coventry this weekend

WITH November 5 falling this Saturday, a variety of bonfire night and fireworks events are taking place across Coventry and the surrounding area this weekend.

Friday, November 4

Longford Park School, Coventry – Gates open 5.30pm, Bonfire taking place along with fireworks 6.15pm. Hot food and drinks are available to buy. Proceeds go to school funds. Tickets – adults – £3, children – £2, family tickets £8. Buy in advance for free popcorn or on the door.

Broadstreet Rugby Football Club, Coventry – Fireworks, bar, food, stall, entertainment. Doors open at 5pm, fireworks at 8pm. Click here for tickets.

Saturday, November 5

Butts Park Arena, Coventry Rugby Club – Gates open at 3pm, fireworks at 6.30pm. Also features bars, hot food, children’s entertainment. Tickets should be booked in advance here – adults -£5, under 16s – £3, families of four – £12.




3rd Coventry Scout Group, Bromleigh Drive – Gates open at 5.30pm, firework display at 7pm. Cash only for tickets both beforehand and on the night. Also features licensed bar, hot food and other refreshments.  Adults – £5, Children – £3. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Click here for more information.

Coventrians RFC – Gates open at 6.30pm. Charity bonfire night hosted by Mercia Lions in aid of Zoё’s Place Trust and other local charities. Tickets – Under 5s free, children 5 to 12 – £3, adults – £7. Click here for tickets and more information.


Stoke Old Boys Rugby Football Club, Albert Gale Fields, Brookvale Ave, Binley, Coventry – Gates open at 5pm, bonfire lit at 6pm, fireworks at 6.30pm. Also indoor and outdoor bars, stalls and more. Tickets – £5 for adults, £3 for children, £12 for a family of four. Under 3s go free.

Pinley RFC, Wyken Croft, Binley – Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 7.30pm, fireworks at 8pm. Also features fair rides, food stalls, sweet stalls, bar and, hot drinks. Pay on the gate – cash only – Adults £5, children £3, under 2s free.

 

Weston Hall Hotel, Weston Lane, Bulkington, Coventry – 5pm to 10pm. Bonfire, firework display at 7pm, also features food, drink and stalls outside and inside the hotel. Entertainment includes fire juggler, crew girls dance act, fire performer, children’s rides, magician, stilt performer and DJ. Tickets in advance – adults £7, children £4, family (two adults, two children) £18. Book early at westonhallhotel.co.uk

Baginton Bonfire – Millenium Field, Baginton – Bonfire, firework display, food and drink. Gates open at 6pm. Tickets – pay on gate – £3 adults, under 16s free. Cash and card accepted. Click here for more.

The Rose and Crown, Main St, Wolston, Coventry – Fireworks and Light Show. Free entry. Donations requested for Wolston St Margaret’s School PTA. This event is supported by Wolston’s 31st Scout Group and Flamex Fire Protection Ltd.

 

Sunday, November 6

Hickory’s Burton Green, Coventry – Gates open at 5pm, fireworks at 7pm. Tickets available from the restaurant only. Adults – £10, children – £5.
