YOUR PICTURES- Coventry Observer readers send in their snaps of the snow

Coventry Editorial 9th Mar, 2023 Updated: 9th Mar, 2023   0

SNOW arrived across Coventry today, bringing joy for some and issues for others.

After initially starting slowly on Wednesday, it then became heavier throughout the afternoon and began to settle.

National Highways issued a severe weather warning and urged people to only travel if it was absolutely necessary.

Drivers struggled to get home during the Wednesday evening rush hour with cars skidding and roads becoming blocked.

By this morning it was several inches deep, posing more travel issues.

Places looked picturesque and pet owners were quick to see what their furry friends thought of the snow.

Several schools shut or closed early, providing rare opportunities for children to go out and build snowmen or go sledging.

We asked for your pictures and you did not disappoint- email [email protected] if you want yours to be added.
