FOOTBALL: COVENTRY ALVIS crashed to a seventh consecutive league defeat on Saturday when losing 5-0 to fellow strugglers Brocton.
The loss prompted Alvis boss Luke Hopkins to question the desire of several members of his team.
Alvis remain bottom of the Midland Football League Division One, six points short of Stafford Town.
Hopkins’ men conceded twice in the first 17 minutes as Brocton showed greater determination from kick-off.
Brocton increased their lead through Lee Osborne later on in the game before goals from Burns and Joe Powell added to Alvis’ woes.
Hopkins said: “Apart from three or four players, I have to question the desire of the rest to compete.”
Coventry Alvis are without a game on Saturday, but entertain Canley Sports and Social in the quarter finals of the Coventry Charity Cup next Wednesday evening.
