COVENTRY Godiva Harriers celebrated individual and team success at the Warwickshire Cross Country Championships.
Junior runner Annabell and senior athlete Sian Rainsley won the under-11 girls’ and senior women’s individual titles respectively.
Godiva also came home with three silver medals as Grace finished second in the under-15 girls race while Amelia Starling finished behind Rainsley in the senior women’s race and Hossein Mohammadhia took silver in the masters’ men’s race.
The senior women’s team claimed the overall title after Alison Kennedy finished fourth as she just missed out on a medal with Dewi Dankmeyer further back in 30th.
This left the senior women’s team on a total of seven points – almost the best score possible.
And Godiva’s senior men also claimed the team title led home by Joe McLeod who finished fourth.
Strong finishes from Lenny Chail 5th, Scott Hudspith 7th and James Wright 8th helped the men total 24 points.
Godiva athletes David Cooper 14th, Iain Souttar 21st, Max Chapman 22nd, Will Averill 28th and Lee Connelly 30th all finished the senior men’s race.
The club’s masters’ men’s side also became team champions led home by Mohammadhia who took individual silver.
Strong results from Clark Roberts 4th, Matt Hadlum 6th and Pete Eccleston 13th helped Godiva top the overall standings with 25 points.
Masters athletes Sam Katanda 21st, Liam Kincaid 22nd, Michael Todd 26th, Waising Yip 27th, Ed Sumner 32nd (on debut), John Treadwell 52nd, Martin Gittins 54th and Garry Flude 67th all completed the race.
Coventry’s masters’ ladies finished fourth overall as Rowena Ockenden 14th, Jayne Mumford 16th and Paige Zhang-Green 21st achieved a total of 51 points.
Godiva’s under-13 boys finished fifth in the teams standings with the under-17 men seventh overall.
Harriers had one athlete in the under-20 women’s race as Shona Murray finished eighth.
And Adam Jackson finished eighth in the under-20 men’s race with Will Chalmers further back in 15th place.
The Championships took place at Warley Woods in Smethwick.
