COVENTRY Godiva Harriers had nine athletes take part in the London Marathon.
Godiva runner Scott Hudspith finished his first marathon attempt in an impressive 2 hours 26 minutes and 14 seconds with Dan Clarke just behind in a new personal best (PB) time of 2 hrs 34 mins 56 secs.
And Jamie Hnatushka also finished in a sub three-hour time of 2 hrs 56 mins 35 secs running in his first marathon while Justin Gilbert completed the historic 26.2 mile course in 4 hrs 17 mins 44 secs.
Also taking on his first marathon, Jack King finished in 3 hrs 56 mins running for charity.
And four Godiva athletes took on the wheelchair races as Josh Hickinbottom finished in an impressive 2 hrs 9 mins to place 25th while Gary Cooper crossed the line in a fine 2 hrs 16 mins 39 secs to secure a 28th place finish.
Harriers pair Steve Montgommery in 2 hrs 35 mins 21 secs and Rob Smith in 2 hrs 44 mins 34 secs also completed the course.
