THE Skydome Arena will host an IBF European Super Featherweight title fight as part of GBM Sports ‘Ice Breaker’ card next month.

GBM Sports are hosting their first-ever show in the Midlands with Coventry fighter River Wilson-Bent (15-4-1) to feature on the undercard.

Wilson-Bent will box undefeated fighter SA Smith (2-0) in his home city and is hoping to bounce back after losing to Ryan Kelly by unanimous decision in his most recent bout in October last year.

Warwickshire fighter Danny Quartermaine (10-0) takes on Alex Rat (17-6-2) in the main event with the vacant IBF European Super Featherweight title on the line.

Izzy Asif, CEO of GBM Sports, said: “On March 9, we’re going to showcase what all of the hype is about.

“We’re looking forward to coming to the Midlands. This is somewhere I’ve always wanted to put on a show and it’s going to be massive.

“We’re expecting 3,500 people in a packed out arena. We’ve got two title fights, two undefeated local fighters competing for the Midlands Area title, and some highly tipped debutants on the show.”

The ‘Ice Breaker’ card takes place on Saturday, March 9 with the action live and free to view on talkSPORT.
