COVENTRY City forward Conor Chaplin has departed the club, after signing for Championship side Barnsley for an undisclosed fee, putting an end to his one-year stint with the club.
The 22-year-old arrived last summer on an initial loan deal, before making his stay with Mark Robins’ side permanent in January, following a successful season in which he found the net eight times in 32 starts.
Chaplin signs a four-year-deal with the Tykes, and is the fifth departure from the Sky Blues this summer, following the transfers of Tony Andreu, Tom Davies, Jordan Willis and Lee Burge to pastures new.
