Concern for Jones and Kelly as pair forced off the pitch through injury

Coventry Editorial 22nd Nov, 2017   0

FOOTBALL: THERE is concern for both Liam Kelly and Jodi Jones after the pair were forced off the pitch during Tuesday night’s clash against Stevenage.

Kelly was substituted in the opening 20 minutes of the game while Jones was stretchered off in the second half following a lengthy stoppage for treatment.

The extent of both players’ injuries are currently unknown.

Manager Mark Robins said: “Liam Kelly has been playing with a sore foot and he had to sit the rest of the game out.

“Jodi Jones has gone to hospital to have X-rays.

“He has done something, but we do not know what.

“The scans are to rule out any possible break but we do not know the extent of the injury.

“It is a shame because we created some good openings and we were looking for that clinical bit of play.”
