COVENTRY Copsewood look to pick themselves up away to Brocton this Saturday (3pm), after suffering back-to-back defeats in Midlands Football League Division One.
A red card and subsequent penalty approaching half time tarnished their chances of a result at Heath Hayes, en route to an eventual 3-0 humbling.
Connor Tallet had an early chance with his deflected strike that brushed just past the post, whilst Copsewood keeper Dale O’Donnell stood firm down the other end to keep out a one-on-one chance.
The shot stopper could do little to keep out Dean Williams’ penalty, however, after Zidane Mistry’s lunging challenge inside the area resulted in an early bath.
Ben Wilkinson’s drive from distance flew past O’Donnell seven minutes after the restart, followed by a Rhys Horton strike moments after to cap off the scoring.
It means Copsewood have been unable to add to their opening-day win over Uttoexeter so far, having lost away to Hinckley in midweek courtesy of Bekir Halil and Michael Wright strikes in the first half.
