BLAZE coach Marc LeFebvre believes new signing Kyle Bochek will bring a new dimension to the side for the 2014/15 Elite League campaign.
The Canadian forward has moved to the Skydome having spent last year with Tulsa Oilers in the Central Hockey League (CHL) where he posted 53 points (17 goals and 36 assists) in 65 regualr-season and play-off games.
Last season, Bochek was named by his peers as the ‘Best Bodychecker’ in the CHL, where he had 11 fights, including one against former Blaze forward Kevin Harvey.
The 26-year-old has also iced for Missouri Mavericks, Dayton Gems and Bloomington Blaze over the past five years and LeFebvre is looking forward to seeing his latest signing in action.
He said: “He brings a few different elements to our team. His former coaches have described him as an agitator with skill.
“He also adds speed to our line-up and was voted as the ‘Best Bodychecker’ in the CHL last season by fellow players and coaches.
“Kyle’s aggressive style and willingness to drop the gloves will certainly make him a fan favourite at the Skydome.”
