FOOTBALL: WINGER Jordan Maguire-Drew has signed a loan deal with Coventry City from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 20-year-old, who was a target of Mark Robins during the summer, can also play as a striker and will be at the Sky Blues until May 31, subject to Premier League clearance.

He will be eligible for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup clash against Stoke City.

Maguire-Drew is a product of the Seagulls’ Academy, and has had previous loans spells at Worthing, Dagenham and Redbridge and also this season at Lincoln City, where he played 14 times and scored four goals.

Sky Blues manager Mark Robins said: “We targeted Jordan during the summer and unfortunately missed out, so we are very pleased to be able to bring him in now.

“He has great technical ability and quality, and is a scorer of goals, so we are delighted to get him through the door and for him to start with us.

“Having got into the top three of the league on Monday, Jordan will supplement our squad very well as we look to establish our position.”
