COVENTRY City will remember young fan Keaton Slater at their first home game since the 12-year-old’s tragic death.

Keaton died after being hit by a car which failed to stop on Radford Road on June 14.

His funeral takes place on Tuesday, July 30 at Coventry Cathedral with the Sky Blues to remember and pay tribute to Keaton at their pre-season fixture against Everton at the Coventry Building Society Arena later that same day.

A minute’s applause will take place ahead of kick-off with Keaton’s photo displayed on the big screen. Players will also wear black armbands during the game.

A huge Coventry City supporter, the club paid tribute to the 12-year-old following his tragic death last month.

In a statement, the club said: “The 12-year-old was a huge Coventry City supporter, and the thoughts and condolences of everyone at Coventry City Football Club and the entire Sky Blue community are with Keaton’s family and friends.”
