COVENTRY judoka Chelsie Giles has been named in the 14-strong squad for the 2018 World Judo Championships next month.
Giles was confirmed a part of the British Judo team following the second round of selections.
She will compete in the under-52kgs category at her debut World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, from September 20 to September 27.
Giles has had a good year, winning her first two Grand Prix medals with silver in Antalya followed by bronze in Budapest.
On both occasions the Coventry judoka has beaten players ranked inside the world top 20.
