IT WAS a fantastic weekend of results for City of Coventry SC with both the Nuneaton and Leicester Junior League teams winning their respective galas.
The Nuneaton League team had an extremely tough third round with four of the league’s top teams all drawn against one another.
The Coventry swimmers were excellent, picking up 18 wins and a further 13 second-placed finishes out of a total 51 races to end the gala with an impressive 235 points.
There were exceptional performances from the 11-year-old boys’ team who won both of their relays.
A special mention went to Kenza Ajimi who won every race she entered.
The team now progress to the regional final on September 8 for a second consecutive year.
Meanwhile, the Leicester League team also capped off their final fixture of the season with a great win.
Nineteen first-placed finishes and 12 second places meant a storming victory for the Coventry swimmers.
Notable performances came from Kira Lukacs, Jay Waite, Isabella Goult, Daniel Andrews and Edie Fenson.
