Cricket fans set for a Blast after confirming 2021 Finals Day entry

A limited of supply of ticket’s for the 2021 event are set to be available.

AN OVERWHELMING majority of Vitality Blast Finals Day ticket holders have rolled over their entries for the 2021 event – following the behind-closed-doors showpiece played last month.

With fans barred entry from this year’s event at Edgbaston Stadium, won by Notts Outlaws against Surrey, the popular cricket format remains ever popular among fans – which shows with more than 86 percent of 2020 ticket buyers choosing to claim their place at next year’s edition.

While full refunds were available, the majority will be in attendance in 2021 providing the permittance of fans, meaning only 14 percent of tickets will be available for sale.

One way of counteracting the limited selection of tickets is to purchase a Warwickshire membership for the 2021 season, which provides priority access to Finals Day and England’s summer fixtures against Pakistan in a one-day international, and a Twenty20 clash with Sri Lanka.

In response to the strong show of support, Alex Perkins – Edgaston’s head of commercial – has put his thanks to cricket fans on record.

“Finals Day is one of the biggest days, not only on the domestic cricket calendar, but on the sporting calendar in this country,” he said.

“The popularity of the event has grown massively over the last few years, which resulted in the 2020 event selling out in less than two weeks and before general sale.

“This summer has been challenging for everyone and especially for the sports and live events industry.

“We’re hugely grateful to receive the support of ticket buyers who have now committed their place with us in 2021 and we sincerely look forward to welcoming Members and all fans back to Edgbaston.”
