TEAM Enable’s new signings both achieved podium finishes in round one of the Welsh Cross-Country Mountain Bike Series.

Sisters Layla and Holly Bradbrook impressed at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells in tough conditions.

And current Welsh junior champion Layla won the junior race while Holly rode to an excellent third place finish in her first season at elite level.

Closer to home, Oliver Seale made a fine start to the racing season with a second place finish in the Kettering CC Hilly Open Time Trial.

Seale finished second in the road bike category in a time of 47 minutes and 15 seconds over the 20-mile route in freezing conditions as current British 10-mile road bike time trial record holder George Fox won the race.

And teammate Greg Ashley finished ninth in the road bike category in a time of 57 mins and 39 secs.
