TEAM Enable showcased their class once again as the Coventry-based team’s riders claimed championship victories at regional and national levels.

Kenilworth-based rider Darren Atkins won the 55 to 59 age category race by more than a minute to claim the West Midlands Cyclo-cross League championship title.

In the veteran 55 to 59 age category race, Warwick-based rider Alan Buxcey finished 17th while Mark Garrett finished fourth in the 60 to 64 age category race to just miss out on a place on the podium.

And Team Enable’s junior rider Jefferson Tear-Verweij found some of his best form of the season to finish third in the junior championship.

Team Enable then enjoyed more success as Colin Miller finished second in the 45 to 49 age championship with Warwick-based senior rider Tom Bradley 17th in his race.

Elsewhere, Nick and Lynsey Whitley raced in the Welsh Cyclo-cross Championships as the former won the veteran 50 to 59 age championship while the latter finished seventh in the women’s 40 to 49 age race.

Away from the national championships, Team Enable’s Layla Bradbrook finished 10th in the women’s under-23 race in round three of the National Trophy Series.

In the men’s 50-plus race, Nick Whitley finished third with Darren Atkins just behind in fourth.

Elsewhere, Lindsay Newman finished second in round five of the Notts and Derby Cyclo-cross League while Holly Bradbrook won the women’s under-23 race in round eight of the North West Cyclo-cross League.
