TEAM Enable’s young stars showed their potential with a series of excellent performances last weekend.
Oliver Searle made it two hill climb wins in as many weekends after taking the honours at the Coalville Wheelers Pistern Hill climb event.
And Jefferson Tear-Verweij won the under 16’s race in round eight of the Central Cyclo-cross League in Milton Keynes.
In the same event, Darren Atkins finished third in the 50 to 59-years-old category race while Ray Cochrane placed 10th and Pete Mooney came 22nd in the 6o-plus age category race.
And Tear-Verweij also won the youth category race in round nine of the West Midlands Cyclo-cross League held at the National Sports Centre in Lilleshall, Shropshire.
At the same event, Nick Popham rode to another excellent victory in the veterans 50-plus race followed by Darren Atkins in second, Nick Whitley in fourth and Andy Jackson further back in 60th.
And in the 60-plus race, Pete Busby came third with Colin Miller fifth in the 40 to 49-years-old race while Lynsey Whitley finished eighth in the women’s race.
