ICE HOCKEY: RYAN Dingle celebrated his return from injury with a goal at the Skydome on Sunday as Blaze defeated Manchester Storm 7-2.
Dingle, who signed for Blaze in the summer, admitted it hurt him to watch games from the stands rather than being on the ice after suffering a wrist injury in November.
But he bounced back in style against the Storm, helping Blaze earn a crucial two-points against their Patton Conference rivals.
Speaking after Blaze’s home win against Manchester, Dingle said: “We play hockey to play the game, it’s hard watching from the stands.
“It eased the pain a little seeing the guys record a four-point weekend last week, but I want to be on the ice.
“I thought we had some puck luck tonight. There’s room for improvement.
“But to be 5-0 up after the first period is something we can be happy about.”
