DEFENDER Declan Drysdale will spend the 2020/21 season at Gillingham after signing a season-long loan deal today.
The 20-year-old will continue his development at the League One club, where he will join another Sky Blues man in Josh Eccles on loan at Priestfield.
To date, Eccles has made five appearances for Coventry City, last stepping out in the 5-4 penalty shoot-out defeat to the Gills after a 1-1 draw in the second round of the EFL Cup almost a fortnight ago.
Speaking on his move, Drysdale said: “I’m delighted to be here; I had positive talks with the Gaffer [Steve Evans] over the weekend and I’ll hopefully settle in nicely.
“I’m at that stage of my career now where I need to play games and I’m relishing the opportunity to come here and help contribute to a good season.”
