ENGLAND and Liverpool star Jordan Henderson has said he enjoyed every minute of his time with the Sky Blues.
The 24-year-old spent four months on loan with the Sky Blues back in 2009 and made an immediate impact as Chris Coleman’s side pushed for promotion in the Championship.
Then just 18, Henderson became a firm favourite with the Coventry faithful as the club also progressed to the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
He made 13 appearances and scored one goal before his short stint was cut short after breaking his foot which saw the teenager return to Sunderland.
Coleman tried to sign Henderson the following season but Henderson fought his way into Steve Bruce’s first team at the Stadium of Light and a big money move to Liverpool followed in 2011.
“I was playing every week for a good club.” Henderson told the Daily Star.
“They (Coventry) were doing very well in the Championship and I loved every minute of it.
“I felt it helped me progress as a player. I’ve been given extra responsibility at my club and now with England, too.
“I’m getting older and I need to try and help the younger lads who are coming through.”Am diem avenium con det? que adefex nirtus consulica di, quide ne inclabem ia curnite reniri, quod caet L.
