ICE HOCKEY: FORWARD Luke Ferrara believes the key to a successful second half to the season is a four-point weekend against Milton Keynes.
Blaze face Lightning away from home on Saturday before welcoming their Patton Conference rivals to the Skydome on Sunday (5.15pm).
Ferrara said: “Some massive games are coming up. They’ll be well fought and tough.
“If we can pick up a couple of wins next weekend it will set us up good for the rest of the season.”
Despite only picking up one point from four games in double headers against Cardiff and Nottingham, Ferrara added he believes Blaze are playing ‘good to decent’ hockey.
“It’s frustrating not to get the points,” said Ferrara.
“It’s time to start putting a full 60minutes together and help Nasti (Kevin Nastiuk) because he’s been huge for us.
“We’re more successful when the powerplay is working – we’ve done a lot of work on it and hopefully our five-on-five play can follow that trend.”
