THERE was a flurry of action for Coventry RFC ahead of last months’ transfer deadline day after the National League One club signed five players to boost their promotion campaign.
Coventry have maintained their close links with Premiership side Leicester Tigers with the signing of two international on loan.
Former All Blacks winger Scott Hamilton and Argentina winger Gonzalo Camacho have moved to the Butts Park Arena and bring a wealth of experience to the side.
Hamilton, 34, who has already assisted Coventry in a coaching role this season, won two caps for New Zealand and has made no less than 145 appearances for Leicester.
While Camacho, 30, has played 23 times for Argentina and after injuring his shoulder shortly after joining Leicester he is looking forward to playing regularly again.
Another loan player making his move to Coventry is Darren Waters who joins from Premiership side London Welsh. The 29-year-old, who also played for Welsh Regional side Newport Gwent Dragons, will be joined by centre Max Clarke who comes in from Bath Academy.
Clarke, 19, has been capped for Wales Under-20s this season and has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 levels.
And flanker Loti Molitika has joined on trial until the end of the season.
The former Tonga junior international played for fellow National League One side Cinderford and has plenty of experience playing at number eight.
All five players joined before the deadline on February 28.
