OLD Coventrians maintained their perfect record at the top of Midlands Three West (South) after a 36-0 defeat of visitors Old Leamingtonians.
The league leaders had to battle the elements as well as their opponents to ensure a fifth win from their opening five games, following substantial rainfall which prompted a low-scoring first half.
Joe Talamini was sin-binned to leave Old Leams a man light, but the visitors defended superbly.
However, just before half time, the hosts went in front courtesy of a penalty from full-back and captain Alex Telfer.
The three-point lead was extended in the second half when Tom Clitheroe scored the first try of the game, converted by Telfer to put Coventrians 10-0 up.
Five minutes later, a quick-tap penalty sent Scott Parry in behind the defence to cross the try line, again converted by Telfer to establish a commanding lead.
Corey Joy added an unconverted try, prior to two converted scores from winger Josh James, who ensured a bonus point victory.
After a week off, Old Coventrians return to action at second-placed Rugby St Andrews on Saturday November 9 (2.15pm).
