BEDWORTH United secured back-to-back home wins for the first time this season with an impressive 3-0 victory against high-flying Worcester City.
Goals from Will Grocott, Jonathan Letford and Elliot Parrott earned Bedworth a deserved victory at The Oval.
The result means Bedworth sit 12th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
Worcester went close early on when Bedworth goalkeeper Liam O’Brien rushed his clearance and Kyle Belmonte saw an ambitious first time effort from 35-yards out curl over the crossbar.
At the other end, Charlie Dowd created a space for a shot 25-yards from goal but could only find the side netting which failed to trouble Haydn Whitcombe in the City goal.
The visitors responded with a quick break as the ball broke to Zac Guinan who curled a first time shot wide from 20-yards out after a strong run from Liam Lockett.
Bedworth then forced Whitcombe into the first meaningful save of the game as the City stopper comfortably held Desean Martin’s volley from just inside the penalty area.
Whitcombe then made a stunning fingertip save to push Ryan Shaw’s curling effort behind for a corner.
The home side made their pressure count four minutes into the second period when Grocott lashed a shot into the roof of the net from the edge of the penalty area.
And Grocott almost struck again soon after as his effort from distance went narrowly over the crossbar.
Bedworth spurned a golden chance to double their lead when Letford was played through only to shoot wide when one-on-one with Whitcombe.
The hosts doubled their lead on 61 minutes as Grocott floated a free-kick to the back post and Martin volleyed the ball across goal to Letford who poked home from six-yards out.
And Bedworth sealed the points on 72 minutes when Parrott rose highest to head in a corner from the left from close range.
The home side almost made it four late on as Dowd saw his shot come back off the post.
