FOOTBALL - Ben Sheaf named new Coventry City captain

COVENTRY City have handed the captain’s armband to influential midfielder Ben Sheaf following Liam Kelly’s departure in the summer.

The 26-year-old has become a key player in Mark Robins’ side and captained the Sky Blues on a number of occasions last season.

City boss Robins has now given Sheaf the armband on a permanent basis ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season.
