COVENTRY City’s youngsters came from behind to advance to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup with a 4-2 win against Barnsley.

After falling behind early on, Rylie Siddall, Kai Andrews and Conrad Ambursley all struck to put the Sky Blues in command at the break at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

And Mark Delaney’s side sealed their place in the fifth round when Aidan Dausch scored City’s fourth goal of the night before Barnsley grabbed a late consolation.

Coventry will play either Grimsby Town or Millwall at the CBS Arena in the next round with a date and time to be confirmed and last reached round five back in 2016.

Barnsley took the lead after just two minutes as Portugal under-18 international Fabio Jalo opened the scoring.

However, the Sky Blues equalised three minutes later when Rylie Siddall controlled a high ball in the box before finding the left corner of the the goal.

And City completed the turnaround on 13 minutes as Andrews charged into the box before coolly picking out the bottom left corner from a stunning outside of the foot through ball.

Coventry extended their lead on 38 minutes when Ambursley curled a sensational effort into the right corner of the goal from the left-hand side of the penalty area.

And the Sky Blues made sure of their progress to round five when Dausch showed excellent footwork before curling a low shot into the bottom left corner from the edge of the penalty area.

Barnsley scored a late consolation through Jalo in injury time but it proved too little too late as City recorded a memorable win.
