COVENTRY City have confirmed the departure of first team coach George Boateng following the appointment of Frank Lampard as the club’s new head coach.
Boateng only returned to the Sky Blues in July as part of a coaching reshuffle but has now departed the club.
He scored seven goals in 57 appearances for Coventry during an 18-month spell with the club as a player from 1998 to 1999.
However, he now departs the club after Lampard brought coaches Joe Edwards and Chris Jones with him to to the CBS Arena.
