COVENTRY City are chasing Preston North End’s out-of-contract striker Emil Riis Jakobsen.
According to Sky Sports, Coventry want to sign the 26-year-old Preston striker.
A number of Championship clubs and teams from across Europe have also shown an interest in the forward.
Sky Sports News understand Riis would prefer to move to a club who hold ambitions of gaining promotion to the Premier League.
The Dane scored 12 goals in 45 appearances last season which includes the winner against Coventry at Deepdale back in October.
Beaten play-off finalists Sheffield United also want to sign the striker.
Riis scored 41 goals in 172 appearances for the club across five seasons at Deepdale.
Preston confirmed the former Denmark youth international would leave the club at the end of his contract which expires on June 30.
