COVENTRY City are interested in signing title-winning goalkeeper Carl Rushworth on a permanent deal this summer.
According to Sky Sports News, Coventry hope to strike a deal with Rushworth’s parent club Brighton and Hove Albion.
Sky believe the player is open to making a permanent switch to the Coventry Building Society Arena.
However, Sky also report other Premier League clubs are interesting in signing Rushworth.
No talks will take place between Coventry and Brighton until both clubs finish their respective seasons.
The 24-year-old has one year left on his deal at Brighton with a 12-month option.
Rushworth has recorded 16 clean sheets in the Championship this season, more than any other goalkeeper in the division.
The goalkeeper quickly established himself as a fan-favourite at the CBS Arena following a string of impressive performances.
