FOOTBALL - Coventry City pair called up by Jamaica for Copa America

COVENTRY City duo Kasey Palmer and Joel Latibeadiere have both received call-ups to the Jamaica squad for this summer’s Copa America.

The Reggae Boyz have named a 26-man squad for the tournament held in the United States of America from June 20 to July 14.

Jamaica are in Group B alongside Mexico, Ecuador and Venezuela and beat Dominican Republic and Dominica in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in preparation for the tournament.

Heimir Hallgrimsson’s side are making just their third appearance at the Copa America with Jamaica knocked out in the group stages in both 2015 and 2016.

Jamaica’s squad also includes Aston Villa star Leon Bailey, Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock and West Ham United forward Michail Antonio.

The Reggae Boyz begin their Copa America campaign against Mexico on June 22 before then playing Ecuador on June 26 and finish the group with a match against Venezuela on June 30.
