COVENTRY City extended their season after a final day victory against Middlesbrough secured the Sky Blues a place in the Championship play-offs.
A brace from Jack Rudoni saw Frank Lampard’s side rise to fifth in the table and ended Boro’s hopes of achieving a top-six finish.
And Bristol City’s final day draw with Preston North End means Coventry will play Sunderland in the play-offs.
The Sky Blues will host the Black Cats in the first leg at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Friday, May 9 with kick-off at 8pm.
The second leg takes place at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday, May 13 with kick-off at 8pm.
Should Coventry progress, the Championship play-off final takes place on Saturday, May 24 at Wembley.
However, the EFL are yet to confirm a kick-off time for the fixture.
The other play-off semi-final pits Sheffield United against Bristol City.
