COVENTRY City have unveiled their new away kit for the 2022/23 season with a nod back to the purple strip worn by their 1995/96 Premier League side.
The design is bespoke to the club who have worked closely with manufacturers Hummel to produce an iconic kit.

And the purple striped shirt, with thin yellow lines, was created using three different bespoke remakes of stained-glass panels from the cityโs iconic cathedral which celebrates 60 years since its consecration this year.
The famous Hummel chevrons are also in yellow on each sleeve, while, unlike the 90’s shirt, there is a round neck collar in dark purple and yellow.
Further down the strip, the shorts are also dark purple with Hummel chevrons on the side, while socks are light purple with yellow chevrons and a dark purple trim.

Inside the neck, the words ‘You Want A Cathedral’ are printed โ words from the song ‘In Our Coventry Homes’, often sung by Sky Blues supporters.
Replica shirts are available from infants to 5XL sizes.
And the new kit will be available to pre-order from 4pm today at: www.ccfcstore.com
The kit will go on general sale on Thursday, July 21 at 9.30am in the club shop at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said: “We are delighted to unveil our new away kit for the upcoming 2022/23 season.
“We know that fans have been keen for us to re-visit this shirt’s colours and style from our Premier League era and we hope that this will be popular with our supporters.
Following the theme from the home shirt, Coventry Cathedral is featured again with the inclusion in the stripes of three different bespoke remakes of stained-glass panels.
“Our team who works on the kit at the Club have worked closely with Hummel to create this kit, which is another fantastic design and continues what is now becoming a tradition with us!
“After record breaking sales of the home shirt, weโre sure that this away kit will also be very popular with our supporters.”
