COVENTRY City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Carl Rushworth on a season-long loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Rushworth adds further depth to the goalkeeping ranks at the Sky Blues, joining Oliver Dovin, Ben Wilson, Bradley Collins and Luke Bell.
The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Hull City where he made just two league appearances.
Rushworth said: “I’m really happy to get it over the line and now I can kick on now and try and get some minutes before the season starts.
“I’m really excited, I truly am, it’s been a long time coming and now I’m itching to get going.”
Sky Blues head coach, Frank Lampard added: “We’re delighted to welcome Carl to Coventry City.
“He’s a very talented goalkeeper with quality in every aspect of his game.
“His character and experience will be a great addition to our group, and I am looking forward to working alongside and developing him.”
He spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Swansea City where he made 46 appearances in the Championship.
Rushworth has also spent time on loan at Lincoln City, Walsall and Worthing.
He has made one appearance for England’s under-21 side and formed part of the squad which won the UEFA under-21 European Championship in 2023.
