FOOTBALL - Coventry City star Gustavo Hamer completes move to Sheffield United

COVENTRY City have sold star midfielder Gustavo Hamer to newly-promoted Premier League side Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.

Hamer departs the Sky Blues having scored 19 goals in 132 appearances following his arrival from PEC Zwolle ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

And the 26-year-old scored his final goal for the club in last season’s heartbreaking Championship play-off final defeat against Luton Town at Wembley.

The Brazilian-born midfielder made his final appearance for the club in a 2-1 defeat against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.

Hamer was out of contract at the end of the season
