COVENTRY City retained their place at the top of the Championship table with a 2-0 win against Blackburn Rovers.
Quickfire goals from Victor Torp and Brandon Thomas-Asante after the break sealed a fourth straight win for Frank Lampard’s side at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
And the result means Coventry stay top of the table, one point clear of Middlesbrough, with the Sky Blues now unbeaten in 10 league matches.
Coventry went close early on as Ephron Mason-Clark saw his low effort from 20-yards out pushed to safety by Blackburn goalkeeper Balazs Toth.
And the home side continued to search for the opening goal as Thomas-Asante saw his header travel wide of the post from torp’s free-kick.
At the other end, Milan van Ewijk reacted sharply to divert Yuki Ohashi’s goalbound header over the crossbar.
And Carl Rushworth then produced a superb reaction save, diving high to his right, to keep out Axel Henriksson’s effort from eight-yards out.
Blackburn tested Rushworth again after the break as the Coventry shot-stopper denied Ohashi at his near post.
However, Coventry broke the deadlock on 57 minutes when Torp lashed a volley into the ground and past Toth from 20-yards out.
And the Sky Blues stunned the visitors with a second goal two minutes later as Thomas-Asante volleyed a dropping ball into the bottom left corner from just outside the penalty area.
