COVENTRY City’s new matchday shuttle bus trial will continue when the Sky Blues entertain Swansea City this weekend.
As part of the service, the club have added an additional route from Nuneaton and Bedworth.
The first trial of the service took place in midweek when Coventry City hosted Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup.
Fans can use the service for free if they show their match ticket or season card this Saturday (September 21, kick-off 3pm).
The service will collect fans ahead of the game from the rail replacement bus stops at Coventry Train Station (Near Central Six, opposite Burger King) and White Street Coach Park before dropping them off at the Bus Station at Arena Park Shopping Centre, near to Foleshill Road/Nandos.
Post-match, buses will be waiting at the Bus Station at Arena Park and follow the reverse route.
A new route will start from Nuneaton Train Station this Saturday with a pick-up point on Mill Street, Bedworth (opposite the Bedworth Methodist Church).
Post-match, buses will be waiting at the Bus Station at Arena Park and follow the reverse route.
Pick up times from each Train Station inbound are: 12pm, 12.30pm, 1pm, 1.30pm and 2pm
Each of the services will then stop at White Street Coach Park/Mill Street respectively to pick up any spectators before arriving at the Arena.
Outbound times following the Swansea game are: 5pm, 5.30pm 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm and 7.30pm.
Coventry City’s chief operating officer, John Taylor, said: “Following Wednesday’s first trial, we’re pleased to confirm timings for the shuttle bus service at the Swansea fixture and also the introduction of a new route which will cover Nuneaton and Bedworth.
“We are all aware that travel to the Arena has been an issue for a number of years and hopefully this provision will be welcomed by fans.
“We have made this service free for the trial games and would therefore encourage fans to use the shuttle bus on Saturday by simply showing their match ticket or Season Ticket.
“We hope that this trial will be successful and that we can then introduce this travel option on a more long term basis.”
The Sky Blues will continue to monitor feedback and comments regarding the service and pick-up locations.
