COVENTRY City will make the trip to League Two side AFC Wimbledon in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The Sky Blues will travel to the Cherry Red Records Stadium on the week commencing August 7, with a date to be confirmed in due course.
City have been eliminated in the first round of the competition in each of the last two seasons.
And the Sky Blues have failed to go beyond the second round since 2012/13.
Coventry are unbeaten in six previous meetings against The Dons who are managed by former City loanee Johnnie Jackson.
The game will be City’s first trip to Wimbledon’s new ground since it opened in November 2020.
