COVENTRY City have been drawn at home to Bristol City in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The Sky Blues will take on their Championship rivals during the week commencing August 8.
City are in the Southern Section of the draw.
Coventry were knocked out in the first round of last season’s competition by League Two side Northampton Town.
And the Sky Blues have not progressed past the third round since 2007/08 when they famously beat Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford before losing to West Ham United in the next round.
The club said on their website: “Fixture information will be confirmed shortly, as will ticket information for the match.”
