COVENTRY City will play Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the Carabao Cup next month.
The Sky Blues will host Spurs the week commencing September 16 or 23 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Coventry beat Bristol City 1-0 at Ashton Gate in the first round of the competition as Ellis Simms came off the bench to score the game’s only goal.
And the Sky Blues then saw off Oxford United 1-0 at the CBS Arena in the second round as Brandon Thomas-Asante’s deflected strike proved decisive.
City have reached the third round of the competition for the first time in 12 years.
Coventry famously beat Tottenham 3-2 in the 1987 FA Cup final.
