COVENTRY City will host UEFA Conference League finalists Real Betis in a pre-season friendly.
The Sky Blues will entertain La Liga side Betis at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday, July 30 at 7pm.
The game will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.
Betis are managed by Manuel Pellegrini who led Manchester City to the Premier League title in 2013/14.
He has also managed River Plate, Villarreal, Real Madrid, Malaga and West Ham United.
The Spanish side lost 4-1 to Chelsea in this year’s Conference League final.
Their squad includes five-time Champions League winner Isco who has 12 goals in 38 caps for Spain.
Betis finished sixth in the La Liga table last season to secure a place in the UEFA Europa League next season.
The club have won La Liga once in their history.
They most recently lifted the Copa del Rey in 2021/22 and have won the competition three times.
