FOOTBALL - Coventry City to run shuttle bus service on home matchdays for 2025/26 season

COVENTRY City have confirmed the club will run a matchday shuttle bus service for home fixtures for the duration of the 2025/26 season.

The Sky Blues ran a successful shuttle bus trial last season however this season’s service will cost £5 for a return ticket.

Last season’s trial was free to supporters with a season ticket or match ticket.

However, the club will subsidise this year’s cost for supporters with the service priced at £5 for a return ticket each matchday.

Coventry City executive chairman, Doug King said: “We’re pleased to continue to run the shuttle bus for league and cup matches this season.

“Following the successful trial last season, we will be running the bus again and subsidising the cost to our fans meaning that it will be only £5 for convenient return travel from Coventry city centre.

“This is a great option for fans to travel to the Arena and we’re sure it will be popular again.”

Fans can buy their shuttle bus ticket as they board the bus pre-match.

The club only accept contactless payments with no cash payments accepted.

Post-match, supporters must show the driver their shuttle ticket for the return journey back to the city centre.

A one-way charge will not be available and buses will not take payments post-match.

The service will collect fans ahead of the game from the rail replacement bus stops at Coventry Train Station (near Central Six, opposite Burger King) and White Street Coach Park before dropping them off at the Bus Station at Arena Park Shopping Centre, near to Foleshill Road/Nandos.

Post-match, buses will wait at the bus station at Arena Park and follow the reverse route.

Pick-up times from Coventry Train Station inbound to the Arena will be three hours before kick-off, two-and-a-half hours before kick-off, two hours before kick-off, one-and-a-half hours before kick-off, one hour before kick-off and half-an-hour before kick-off.

The services will then stop at White Street Coach Park to pick up any spectators before arriving at the Arena.

Outbound times following games will be two hours after kick-off, two-and-a-half hours after kick-off, three hours after kick-off and three-and-a-half hours after kick-off.
